Threatening to leave a network can ensure you receive the best offers the service provider can give.  You simply need to phone customer services and tell the provider that “give me a better package or I’ll leave”. You will often be put through to specialist customer service, the disconnection department, who have more power and leeway to keep you on the network by offering you exactly what you want.

Emphasise your loyalty: it is your ‘weapon’ in ensuring you get the mobile phone package that you want. This can be further strengthened by naming the offers made by the competitors hopefully forcing your network to beat the other. The only downside to negotiating your contract in this way is the fact that you will often have to agree to a longer than normal phone contract. The mobile phone market is in maturity and companies are desperate for your custom and the power is in your hands to control what you pay.
